Here are a collection of the props I have made over the years. Many of these come from my university course. Some have also been featured in professional theatre productions. Here is a Venus Flytrap constructed out of steel sheets, rods, and box sections MiG welded together. This was made in a group project for our first unit on our degree course. The brief for this project was to design and create a large insect made of metal. I had chosen a mosquito as I felt the design would be quite dynamic. An Easter Island head carved out of a block of hard wood resting on a lathed wooden base. A stunt a safe shoe made of liquid latex and soft expanding foam with an airbrushed paint job. This shoe was made to look like a real shoe I owned. This is based on the face of a classmate. It was first sculpted out of polymer clay, then had a silicone mould made of it. Made in fast cast with hard expanding foam inside. A large piece of toast designed off of a real piece of toast and made out of polystyrene. The jam is made of hard expanding foam. A golden egg open to reveal a glowing meteorite in the middle. This is a part of a group project made for Worthing Theatre for their Jack And The Beanstalk pantomime production. A set of treasure piles. They are made with celotex, plastazote, fiberglass, vacuum formed coins and gems, and repainted items placed on a cart with casters on the bottom. I had worked on the fiberglassing, attaching the coins and other props as well as the painting and airbrushing. These are large tankards as part of the Giant's dinner set for Jack And The Beanstalk. These tankards are made from plastazote foam, fiberglass and rope. Hand painted with an airbrushed finish which I assisted with. Also part of the Giant's dinner set. Four plates, two forks, two knives, and two spoons. All of these items I helped construct and are made of plastazote and fiberglass. This is a sculpted model based on the illustration on page 8 of The Cast In The Hat written by Dr. Seuss. My Henson styled puppet based on celebrity musician Steve Harwell, former lead singer of the band smash mouth. This is a wall of thorned vines made for Worthing Theatre's production of Sleeping Beauty. The design I helped come up with. They were designed to be able to fold and change shape while also being able to take it apart and wheel onto or off stage. I worked on cutting out the vines from MDF, cutting and constructing the frames, painting the vines, and attaching the thorns. I am 5'6 for reference
